About Me

I am a small town southern girl.I was born in the boondocks with a fishing pole in hand, and raised on fresh air and sun tea while sitting in a rocking chair on Momma and Daddy's back porch. I love being outside, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, or just plain playing in the mud. I left my small home town in southeast Texas in 2008 to go to Texas A&M University. In May 2011 I  graduated with a degree in Youth Development. Upon graduation I moved to Arizona to start out my career in the field of youth development, i.e. "difference making." Then I discovered a different path in my loving husband and perfect son. Now, I'm a full time wife, mother, and homesteader.

My goal in life is to make a difference in the lives of as many people as possible. As Emerson says: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best is others; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success.

A good friend, who confides in me often, asked me to start a blog. She felt that some of the things I have shared with her might help other people. I don't claim to be wise or even completely right most of the time. But I hope that something I say will help you in someway. I don't claim to have all the answers, but I am one who will always do the best I can to help people. So please email or comment a question or a story, and I will post it anonymously, along with my response. If you what your question to be private, I will respond with a personal email, but please remember that others may have problems similar to yours and it is important to share your experiences to help others.
